New Building

On January 27 the Town Planning council defined a winner of the new Library sketch plan contest which held in December 2010.

Governor Vasily Yurchenko payed special attention to this contest having underlined that the region development strategy needs solid information and cultural complex with modern and large library. After visiting existing NRURL building the governor noticed that current conditions fail to provide relevant funds storage.

On Dec 2010 the Contest Council was drown up and later 5 projects were submitted.

A winning project was submitted by German company "Tilke Engineering". The project developers beleive that a stack of books shaped construction will contribute to the architectural face of Novosibirsk.
